Shipping of Dahlia Tubers:

***If an order freezes in transport, we do not have backup tubers for all varieties. Therefore, we would like to ensure that the orders can be shipped without the concern of freezing. Please choose thoughtfully. 

To err on the side of caution, please choose the date you feel would be safe for shipping based on when you can plant in your region: https://www.almanac.com/gardening/frostdates. We will check closer to shipping dates to confirm that temperatures are suitable across Canada. All shipping is weather-dependent, as daytime and nighttime temperatures must be above freezing. We can only guess at this point. If we are concerned, we will message you and likely hold off until the following week. If you have concerns, please message us.

Shipping of Dahlia Cuttings: 

We had listed all cuttings on our website for pick up only for the January Sale - but several people who had selected shipping have ordered cuttings who live across Canada. No problem. We have looked into courier shipping and decided to make courier Canada-wide shipping available for cuttings, and will update the website accordingly. But as cuttings are more fragile and cannot handle cold temperatures well, they must be shipped a bit later to avoid any risk of damage. If you purchased cuttings and tubers in the same order, you can choose from the 3 options below regarding shipping:

1. Hold off on shipping your entire order until:

Monday, April 21st, 2025 (BC - lower mainland and Vancouver Island) 

Monday, April 28th, 2025 (BC - outside the lower mainland/Vancouver Island)

Monday, May 5th, 2025 (for the rest of Canada)

2. Pay an additional shipping fee of $25 to have cuttings shipped later separately from tubers. Please send this amount to us via auto deposit etransfer, with ‘cuttings shipping fee’ in the comments section, to aclempson@gmail.com. For those of you who choose this - your tubers can ship earlier, but cuttings will not ship with the potential for replacement or refund until the dates listed above.

3. Ship according to your preference for a shipping date. The buyer assumes all risk, and there are no refunds or replacements for damaged items. 

***If we do not hear from you, we will assume the dates listed in section (a) work and ship according to region.

Shipping Costs: 

1 to 10 tubers $25 Flat Rate Shipping and Handling.

11+ tubers $30 Flat Rate Shipping and Handling.

We will combine multiple customer orders made up to 48 hours prior to chosen pick-up or shipment date, and time.

For customers requiring shipping - if you have paid already once for shipping enough to cover the required number of tubers for all your orders please select other in the shipping/pick up window and type in the 'instructions' section your name, and all your order numbers that you are requesting to ship together.

An email will be sent in the week prior to confirm your previously selected shipping date. Alternately if you change your mind and would like a different shipping date reach out and we will try to accommodate your request.

* We do not offer refunds on shipping costs.

* We currently only ship within Canada.

We will email you within 24 hours of your order shipping with a confirmation number for tracking. Please inspect your order upon arrival and message us with any questions or concerns (within 7 days of receiving your order).
